East Pleasant Street Sidewalk Survey

Good News! A survey for an East Pleasant Street sidewalk has been commissioned. The
survey will include the area between Olympia Drive and Pine Street. If you are in favor of a
sidewalk (or not) linking NorthAmherst/Cushman to the center of town, please let your
District One Councilors know (Shoenc@Amherstma.gov and Millerm@Amherstma.gov.
Having a sidewalk along the entirety of East Pleasant Street is in keeping with the “walkable” town concept that is part of the Amherst Master Plan.

Mill River Pickleball Court?

The town is deciding the best place for a pickle ball court. What do you
think of having it located at Mill River Recreation area? Let your Councilors know if you
have thoughts about this.

Amherst Community Clean-Up, April 30 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon

The Town of Amherst and community partners will host a Community Clean-Up Day on Saturday, April 30th
from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. In Spring 2019 we held a similar event and we are glad to
be able to bring it back this year.
Volunteers will report to one of three rally points throughout Amherst. Each rally point will be
staffed by a team of captains with area assignments and more details. Supplies will be provided
but we do encourage you to bring your own work gloves or eye protection if you have, as our
supplies are limited.
There will also be a Community Celebration event hosted by the Amherst Business
Improvement District on the Amherst Town Common at 1:00 PM, after the
Community Clean-Up. More details on that will be coming soon!
